What Daily Calories Means
This game compares average daily food energy supply per person, measured in kilocalories.
- FAOSTAT food balances estimate the food available for human consumption after production, trade, stock changes, and non-food uses are accounted for.
- This is a national per-capita supply figure, not a diary of what any one person actually eats.
- High calorie supply does not mean everyone is well fed; abundance can still be distributed unequally or wasted.
- In each round, pick the country with the higher calorie supply.
The number measures food-system availability, not fairness at the dinner table.
