• Lower rank numbers are better: No. 1 is above No. 20.
• Gameplay is based on ranking position, while each reveal also shows that team's FIFA points.
• Since 2018, FIFA has updated the table with an Elo-style formula that changes points after every recognised A international.

The rank is ordinal; the points explain how much daylight sits between nearby teams.
